A reliable Protect the Border inspection follows the same complete route for every vehicle. The official experience names IDs, face matching, and trunk searches for legal and illegal goods. Current walkthroughs consistently place the decision after those checks. Use the prompts shown in your server because exact fields and controls can change during BETA.
Step 1: take ownership of the interaction
Start only when you can finish the vehicle. In co-op, name the document owner, vehicle owner, and decision owner before anyone presses an action. Two players can work different evidence tracks, but one final owner prevents an approval and arrest from being attempted at the same time.
Read the interface at normal scale and do not cover fields with another menu. On mobile or tablet, rotate or adjust only through supported device controls; do not assume a desktop screenshot shows the same button location.
Step 2: read the presented identity evidence
Check every field the current game exposes. Compare values against each other when the interface provides a related reference. Do not invent an expiration, country, license, or registration rule merely because another border game uses one. A visible mismatch is evidence; a field that is not present is not evidence.
Pause before calling the result. In co-op, use “identity clear,” “identity mismatch,” or “identity incomplete.” Avoid “looks bad,” which does not tell the decision owner what was found.
Step 3: compare the face
Compare the traveler in front of you with the face or identity information the game displays. Look at the characteristics the current interface makes relevant rather than relying on a vague feeling. Camera angle, accessories, lighting, or another avatar can obstruct the view, so reposition before deciding that a difference is real.
Identity and face evidence belong together, but a match does not end the inspection. The trunk can still contain a violation. A mismatch also does not tell you what cargo is present, so keep the evidence tracks separate.
Step 4: inspect the vehicle and trunk
Use every current vehicle prompt required by the experience, then open the trunk. The official description explicitly calls out both legal and illegal goods. Read item names and rule signals exactly as shown. Do not classify an object from its shape alone when the game provides text or a current rules display.
If the view is blocked, move the camera or ask the vehicle owner to repeat the check. Do not approve because the trunk “looks empty” before the interaction confirms that state. Use Legal and Illegal Items for the safe lookup method and currently reported categories.
Step 5: review before the final action
Use a short review:
- Identity: clear, mismatch, or incomplete.
- Face: match, mismatch, or obstructed.
- Vehicle: completed or still unchecked.
- Trunk: clear, flagged, conditional, or unresolved.
- Decision: only now choose the supported current action.
If one required track is incomplete, finish it rather than guessing. When the evidence supports enforcement, follow the current cuffs and cells prompts until the suspect flow is complete. When a bribe appears, treat it as a separate decision with uncertain long-run consequences; read Bribe or Arrest.
Make the sequence faster without skipping it
Speed comes from predictable movement. Stand where the identity, traveler, and vehicle prompts are easy to reach. In co-op, have the document owner call the result while the vehicle owner finishes the trunk. The decision owner waits for both calls. A fourth player prepares for night or manages completed suspect movement instead of crowding the same interaction.
Do not optimize by acting on the first obvious clue unless the current game explicitly ends the remaining steps. Community guides sometimes recommend shortcuts around obvious contraband, but the safest cross-version method is to follow the current interaction requirements.
Handle common inspection failures
If you keep missing trunks, make “trunk confirmed” a mandatory call. If face checks produce disagreements, reposition and let one player own the call. If actions conflict, remove decision permissions socially by assigning one owner. If the queue reaches sunset, finish the active vehicle and stop opening another.
When a result surprises you, record the visible reason and server date. Do not immediately add a new universal rule from one traveler. A condition may depend on the vehicle, person, item, day, or update.
Inspection FAQ
What is the recommended order?
Identity, face, vehicle, trunk, review, decision. It aligns the official ID/face/trunk loop with a final evidence-based action.
Can I approve after a face match?
Not safely. A matching identity does not replace the official trunk search for legal or illegal goods.
Should two players press inspection actions?
They can own separate checks, but one player should own the final decision to avoid conflict.
Are exact document fields published officially?
No complete public field list was available on August 26, 2026. Follow the current interface and do not import rules from another experience.
