Classes in Protect the Border are officer kits that shape health, standard weapons, and a practical job after dark. The public Game Pass catalog confirms seven premium class products or bundles, including exact loadouts for several of them. Current community guides also report a larger earnable locker roster, but Gold costs, stats, and availability can move during BETA and conflict with some store claims.

Use the official pass descriptions as the stable premium baseline and the live locker as the source of truth for earnable classes. Choose a role before choosing a uniform. The best class for holding a lane is not automatically the best class for mobile inspection work or long-range overwatch, and a four-player squad rarely benefits from four identical kits.

What a class changes

Official descriptions show that a class can set health, standard primary and secondary weapons, and appearance. Juggernaut explicitly provides 250 HP, an M249, and a Desert Eagle. SAS Operator provides 170 HP, HK416, and P226. Frog Man provides 160 HP, a suppressed AS VAL, and Ruger SR9. Hazmat Soldier provides 165 HP, FAMAS, and Colt 1911. Ghillie Sniper is described around SVD and Desert Eagle overwatch, while Pyromaniac unlocks an exclusive flamethrower.

Those descriptions do not say that one class completes inspections faster or guarantees survival. Health matters when the fight reaches you; weapons matter only when their range and handling fit your position. During the day, consistent decisions and team ownership remain more important than the class name.

Most extra weapon pass descriptions say the weapon is carried on top of the normal loadout. That means a class and an extra gun are related but separate purchase decisions. Check for duplication before buying. An extra FAMAS adds less variety while Hazmat Soldier already carries one, and an SVD overlaps with Ghillie Sniper’s confirmed role.

Earnable classes and the live locker

Current independent guides agree that additional classes can be bought with Gold and consistently name Spetsnaz and Special Forces among late-progression options. They also publish broader rosters, costs, HP, and weapons. Because the creator’s public catalog does not expose the live Gold locker and current sources disagree elsewhere, treat that full dataset as community reported until you see it in your server.

The strongest confirmed unlock rule is in the Juggernaut description: it is the only class that cannot be earned with cash or Gold, and the pass is the sole route. That wording suggests other classes may have non-pass paths, but it does not prove every premium class is currently earnable or state the live Gold price. Open the locker, record the name exactly, currency, price, HP, and loadout, then decide.

Do not grind toward a price copied from an old article without checking the locker first. A BETA update can change costs, remove an option, or alter the kit. The Unlock Classes guide provides a purchase checklist and a safe route for Gold planning.

Pick a role before a tier

For a main-lane anchor, durability and sustained fire are useful; Juggernaut’s official 250 HP and M249 make it the clearest premium candidate on paper. For overwatch, Ghillie Sniper’s SVD identity is explicit. SAS Operator offers a confirmed general-purpose rifle kit, while Frog Man’s suppressed AS VAL and Hazmat’s FAMAS support different handling preferences. Pyromaniac’s flamethrower suggests close control, but range, damage, fuel, and crowd performance need live testing.

In a four-officer squad, fill missing jobs instead of copying the top-ranked class. One durable lane holder, one long-range watcher, and two flexible checkpoint or flank officers create more coverage than four kits competing for the same sightline. In solo play, favor a kit whose range and handling cover more than one situation.

The Best Classes guide uses role cards and evidence levels rather than pretending Robux price equals strength.

Avoid duplicate purchases

Before buying a class, compare its standard weapons with any weapon pass you already own or plan to buy. Ghillie Sniper already includes an SVD, SAS Operator includes an HK416, Frog Man includes an AS VAL, Hazmat Soldier includes a FAMAS, and Juggernaut includes an M249. An extra copy can still be useful on another class, but it should be a deliberate cross-class purchase.

Also compare economy passes. If the class is potentially earnable in the live locker, a progression pass may have broader account value than buying the class directly. That depends on current stacking and eligible earnings, which are not fully documented. Use the Gamepasses guide before spending.

Test a class fairly

Equip the class in the locker and confirm the displayed HP and standard weapons before the run. Use the same position and similar night conditions when comparing two classes. One successful run with a coordinated squad does not prove a class is stronger than another class tested solo on a later night.

Record practical questions: can you hold the expected lane, can you cover reloads, does the weapon range fit the checkpoint, and does the kit duplicate another officer’s role? Do not invent damage or speed values when the interface does not show them. A useful comparison can be based on confirmed loadout, survivability, range role, and squad fit without a fake numeric score.

Classes FAQ

What is the strongest confirmed premium class on paper?

Juggernaut has the highest publicly confirmed HP at 250 and a sustained-fire M249 kit. That makes it a clear lane-holding candidate, not an automatic winner for every task.

Can Juggernaut be earned with Gold?

No. Its official description says the pass is the sole way in and that it cannot be earned with cash or Gold.

Are all other classes earnable?

The Juggernaut wording suggests alternatives exist, and current community guides report a Gold roster, but the exact live availability and price of each class must be checked in the locker.

Do extra weapon passes replace class weapons?

Most official weapon pass descriptions say the weapon is carried on top of the normal loadout, so they are additions rather than class replacements.
